Design Classics: Gubi Pedrera

I first fell in love with the Gubi Pedrera Lamps (there are several sizes) when I saw them in the beautiful house of Edina Saether from the blog Nordic Leaves a while ago. If you'd like to see more pictures of her home, I've dedicated a post to it earlier. Since then I've seen the lamps 'in real life' in the HAY stores in Amsterdam and Copenhagen and my love for them has blossomed :) Yesterday afternoon I spent an afternoon in Amsterdam after a visit to the Foam Photography museum and decided to go and admire it in the HAY store. I was so proud that I was able to walk outside with the same amount of euro's on my bank account :) Oh I love it's simple monochrome design and its nice minimalistic legs...

The lamp was designed by Corsini & MilletThe makers were inspired by Gaudi - of whom you've probably heard in the context of Barcelona ;) - and his building La Pedrera. If you're curious about the origins of this fantastic lamp you can check out a short film about the origins of the lamp here. I'm very curious as to what your feelings about this lovely lamp are!

You can buy this lovely lamp in several sizes at my sponsor
